If a ring has gems, can it still be a band?  Are bands always straight?  Does "band" always refer to wedding rings?  What makes a band a band anyway?

These are examples of what we think bands can be.  Often they are suitable for either men or women, married or not, gay or straight, gem-loving or gem-averse.  They have texture, movement, color and form.  They are personal, intimate expressions of the wearer, to symbolize whatever he or she wants.  But if we had to choose one defining quality of a band over other rings, it would be that a band tends to be consistent and balanced all the way around.  No large limelight-grabbing focal point on top.

Think of a band as a canvas.  What would you like to say with it?
